Trainers
Heather Mills
BARN MANAGER
Heather grew up with a passion for horses, riding every chance she could. She married into a family of world champions, gained years of experience working in the family’s breeding and training facility, and is enthusiastic about now working at DEC. In her words, “Look for enhancements on the entire facility! I can't wait to take DEC to new levels with exterior and interior updates like footing, drains, fresh paint, a new dressage mirror, and really making the farm sparkle and shine! We are also working on ways to improve communication and ensure we address our clients' values and needs. I want to exceed expectations of both my two legged and four legged friends!”
Abby Soldini
TRAINER/RIDER
Abby has been enthralled with horses since she was a small girl. She began taking lessons as a child all the while volunteering with a therapeutic riding center and learning the ins and outs of all aspects of horsemanship. In high school, she joined a local barn’s IEA team and competed through graduation. She attended FAU studying Psychology while dually continuing her education in horses. Abby first began teaching at a small local barn and has since then increased her education. She has ridden with top trainers such as Hardin Towell, Gavin Moylan, Jeffrey Lord and Beny Konstantinova. With Grand Prix aspirations, she is consistently striving to be the best in riding, training and a genuine love for the horse and sport.
Kimberly Sauer
TRAINER
Kimberly’s passion for horses began at a young age. She grew up in South FL riding and volunteered for over 10 years at a large PATH accredited riding facility. She continued her education at St. Andrews University and received her bachelors degree in Therapeutic Horsemanship. While studying at St. Andrews she participated in and competed with the schools Hunt Seat and Dressage Teams. During her time at St. Andrews, she also obtained her PATH instructor certification as well as her Special Olympics Tier 1 & 2 coaching certification. Since then, Kimberly has become a certified mentor for future PATH instructors.
Hessy Derman
TRAINER
Hessy was born and raised in New York. She started riding at the age of 5. Her show career consisted of showing in the hunters, jumpers and equitation rings through the A circuit. She purchased her farm in her early 20’s where she specialized in training, sales, lessons, boarding and had an IEA team. Many of her IEA team riders qualified for the regional hunter jumper finals. After 25 years living in New York, she decided she was ready for a change. Now residing in South FL and is loving the endless summers. She is thrilled to be a trainer here at DEC.

Summer Camp
Join us for Delray Equestrian Center Summer Camp!
Delray Equestrian Center camp program combines qualified staff, experienced horses, and a beautiful 24 acre facility. In the DEC atmosphere campers can advance their horseback riding skills, expand their horsemanship knowledge, and enjoy riding with friends. Campers will be expanding their knowledge and interests in show western pleasure or English hunter/jumper/equitation, or just for pleasure riding. Camp is also about taking care of the horses, learning about them, getting to know them, and communicating with them.
The Horses
Our horse camp features horses ranging from experienced A circuit show horses, to seasoned beginner ponies, and the wonderful patient beginner horse.
Teaching
Our equestrian staff is qualified to teach riders of all ages ranging from 2 to older adults, and of all experiences. Young beginners play mounted games and get to learn all about their favorite horses, while others may learn to post, jog, lope, canter, trail or jump. More advanced riders will be able to jump through hunter or jumper courses.
Take It to the Next Level
After camp is over…
Riding programs are offered all throughout the year. Special programs are set in place for the individual whether they are the weekend rider or the serious competitor. Our students show from the A rated local shows, to some away shows in various places like Kentucky at the State Horse Park or the Carolinas to Saugerties New York for Marshall Sterling Finals, to the smaller beginner local circuits. They leave plenty of time for play for destination trail rides, BBQs, farm shows, and clinics.
Prior to camp…
We ask that your camper takes a mandatory lesson with one of our trainers so we can evaluate their riding skills.
